Our Founder's Journey
Every great barbecue story has a spark - that moment when curiosity meets the love of good food. My journey began in the heart of O'Fallon, Illinois, standing shoulder to shoulder with BBQ legends at local cookoffs, and soaking up every bit of wisdom from competition pits and culinary training classes. Listening to fellow grillers, I noticed the same challenge: people craved something beyond ordinary store-bought flavors. They wanted boldness, depth, and a genuine touch.
After hearing their stories and sharing their struggles, I rolled up my sleeves in 2019 and dove headfirst into a sea of trial, discovery, and a few grill flare-ups. Countless batches later (and more experiments than I can count), something truly special began to take shape: small-batch rubs and sauces built for serious BBQ but crafted for everyone who loves to eat well.
At the heart of Foodaffair618 is a commitment to authentic, American-made flavor. Every bottle of Garlic Butter or Apple Bourbon rub reflects lessons learned over flames and feedback from real people in our community. My passion has always been about layering flavors - not just competing, but building up every bite to its fullest potential. With every sauce and rub, my goal remains simple: to share the best of Midwest BBQ tradition while serving you, the folks who brought me here.
